A stairwell is the one space where an oversized fixture is almost always the right call. A normal pendant hovers near the ceiling looking lost; a long column or a multi-tier piece fills the void and stays visible from every floor. Measure from the ceiling to the highest step and leave at least seven feet of clearance above that point, then choose the longest fixture that fits. Wall sconces climbing alongside the stairs work as an alternative where a central drop is not possible. Tell us your ceiling height and we will set the wire length before shipping.
