Formakami Pendant Lamp — two hand-wrapped mulberry paper volumes hung one above the other and divided by slim black collars: a rounded lantern on top, a wide open dome below.
Both halves are ribbed by hand over a fine wire frame, so the surface carries close-set horizontal lines and its own soft creasing. Nothing is printed, and no two are identical. Four sizes and silhouettes to choose from.
The two-part form is what makes it work: the upper lantern glows softly overhead while the open dome beneath drops a warm pool of light straight down onto the table, so you get atmosphere and usable light from one fixture. The black collars keep the silhouette crisp instead of letting it read as one blurred mass. The paper volumes travel folded flat inside a firm, padded box, so they're protected from the knocks that leave most paper lanterns dented or torn before they're even unpacked.
Gently ease each volume open by hand until it holds its full shape and the collars sit true — no parts to build. A qualified electrician then hardwires it and fits the included bulb.
A qualified electrician connects it to your ceiling wiring — a standard pendant install. The 59″ wire adjusts easily to set your drop, and it's sloped-ceiling adaptable up to 30°.

Address Errors or Changes

Once a package is shipped, we cannot guarantee successful address changes, and carriers may charge additional fees for address modifications. If you need to change your address after shipment, we will send you an invoice to cover these extra fees.
Refused, Lost, or Stolen Packages
