Bedroom lighting has one job that no other room has — it needs to work last thing at night, when your eyes have already adjusted. That argues for warm, diffused sources at low level rather than a bright ceiling fixture: a sconce on each side of the bed at around 30 inches above the mattress, an alabaster or paper lamp on the nightstand, and a dimmer wherever you can fit one. Everything in this collection is chosen for that soft, glare-free quality, and we recommend a 2700K warm-white bulb throughout.
