A living room needs more than one light source. The usual mistake is a single ceiling fixture doing all the work, which flattens the room and puts everyone under the same hard overhead glare. Layer instead: something sculptural in the corner, a table lamp beside the sofa at sitting height, and a pendant or ceiling piece for the general wash. Everything in this collection is chosen to work at that mid-to-low level where a living room actually gets used, and most pieces are dimmable.
